Join Us

Join us for bowls, croquet or both…

Membership of the Club is open to anyone over 18 years of age, interested in playing either Bowls or Croquet (or both) on application. However, limitation of membership according to available facilities is allowable on a non-discriminatory basis.

The Club operates an equitable pricing policy and keeps subscriptions at levels that will not pose a significant obstacle to people participating. The level of subscriptions will be decided by the Committee from time to time and notified to the members. Membership Subscriptions are payable on 1 April each year for existing members.

Bowls

Watch out for details of our Open Afternoon in the Spring or just turn up at one of our regular informal ‘roll-ups’ (Monday 10.00 am)

No special equipment is required when you begin – just bring a pair of flat soled shoes. The club has a range of bowls you can borrow when you start and all other equipment if provided. Prospective members can enjoy three taster sessions when we will introduce you to the game, before deciding whether to join.

Croquet

If you are interested in playing croquet contact Bill Newberry or simply turn up at one of our regular 10.00 am Sunday morning Croquet sessions.

Some members play Association Croquet, but the majority play Golf Croquet, a simpler version in which each player takes a turn to run his/her ball through the next hoop or stop an opponent from doing so.

No special equipment needed – just flat soled shoes, we will provide the rest. As with Bowls, prospective members can enjoy three taster sessions before deciding to join.
